I think joining the Foundations Academy mentorship program has been well worth the investment. One of the best parts about this mentorship is the ability for the program to be completely individualised to your specific needs.

I really wanted to improve my hands on, practical skills, as a result I have had lots of face to face hands on sessions where I could develop these skills. I have felt my confidence in the clinic improve as a result.

One of the other benefits was having multiple, specialist mentors, including podiatry, hand therapy etc. so you are learning from an expert in each area.

I highly recommend Foundations Academy for any clinician who is wanting to grow, develop their skills and feel more confident in a clinic or sporting setting.

These modules are top notch! Working as a new grad in private practice has been a crash course in learning on the go, but the course from Clincalx Foundations has taken a load off sifting through all the information that’s out there by providing information that is thorough but digestible – and most importantly; practical.

I absolutely loved the hip and groin module as not only a refresher for information from uni, but I also came away from it far more equipped with heaps of new knowledge and ideas for exercise prescription – particularly for higher level rehab.

I regularly participate in the IGLearn quizzes and love that someone from the team will always respond (no matter if I was right or wrong!) to help continue that growth and learning. I cannot recommend Clincalx Foundations more highly!

They also include hypothetical and realistic practical examples to get you to set foot into the shoes of a clinician to build your clinical reasoning – Clinical Foundations brings a unique way of teaching that sets it apart and I highly recommend it.

The modules and content are incredibly helpful and insightful – they are excellent at bridging the gap between university and the clinic, which can be hard to initially navigate through. The modules contain in-depth and step-by-step ways to assess and to treat the main clinical scenarios you are likely to see WELL.

The modules have been delivered to an extremely high standard. I love that they constantly refer to the latest evidence-based information, provide several exercise progressions and regressions, create engaging content on Instagram, and are extremely receptive to questions. It feels personable and intimate, and I believe this truly sets them apart from other educational courses and platforms.

It caters for different types of learning, including lectures, interactive quizzes through IGLearn, question weeks, and masterclasses consisting of complex case studies. The module was spaced out well to absorb all of the essential theory and practical concepts and to be applied in a clinical and sport setting. An extremely handy resource I frequently refer to whilst working in a private practice and sports setting. I would strongly recommend ClinicalXFoundations to any physiotherapists or final year students wanting to excel in private practice and sports physiotherapy.

Loved this knee module. The format of the module allowed me to work at my own pace and thoroughly understand the theories behind knee rehabilitation. I was then able to apply my learning in clinical practice with my patients and gather any questions I had for the team at Clinicalx Foundations. The masterclass was then a great opportunity for discussion and cemented what we had learnt throughout the module in an intimate and personalised setting.
My favourite part of the series was the emphasis it had on the full rehabilitation timeline. In previous studies I have found an emphasis on the acute stages of rehab and a lack of high quality content on the bridge between early stages of rehab and successful return to sport. This was something that Clinicalx Foundations did very well. The module was very structured in terms of progressions and made me feel confident in my clinical reasoning of goals to achieve and when to progress a patient.
I will definitely be continuously referring to the videos and resources provided for some great exercises and progressions ! Would recommend for anyone from final year students to practicing physiotherapists, there is definitely something to take for everyone.

After having spent some time finding my feet within private practice and sporting teams, I found Clinicalx Foundations super useful whereby it allowed me to further develop and apply some of the concepts to my patients that very day.

-Within the sporting environment, I feel the grad-level knowledge of field based rehab gets exploited, particularly when dealing with team-based athletes. The hip and groin complex module has equipped me the skillset and know-how when dealing with hip related injuries and conditioning.

-Clinicalx Foundations has tied research-backed assessment and treatment in a way that is easily understood and applied to us new physio’s, whereby I feel ready to apply what I have learnt on top of the basics I learnt at uni.

-The format allows me to refer back to each module whenever I need to, mostly when I have a more complex patient, whereby reflect on my treatment just had and start to plan for a quality assessment and treatment session in our next appointment.

Amazing modules created by ClinicalxFoundations! What I loved most was the holistic views they took towards ensuring patient care and the emphasis on educating the patient on what is happening to their body and getting the patient to understand why they are doing what is being asked. In particular, the discussions over the importance of language was super insightful. Coming from a non-exercise science background, it was always hard to apply exercise prescription theories to clinical practice, but the Principles of therapeutic exercise prescription module provided simple clinical tips that was tied in with evidence-based research making it extremely resourceful and easy to follow.

I also completed the Hip and Groin complex, and the best thing about this module is there are assessment and exercise demonstrations with ideas on how to progress and regress exercises. The module pinpoints many important key ideas that has reinforced my learning and reflects what could be implemented practically.
Could not speak highly enough and recommend these modules- especially to current students!

I’m absolutely loving the course from the guys at Foundations of Clinical Exercise. As a new graduate physiotherapist working in private practice with the ambition of working in sports, it has been an enormous help not only to myself, but also my clients!

It’s unlike all other online courses as the practical elements and learning activities really ensure that you consolidate the course information and also develop your critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills, which can then be implemented with your clients in the clinic straight away.

These practical videos are absolute gold! I’m currently churning through the Hip & Groin Complex module and am learning a ridiculous amount after finishing the equally brilliant exercise prescription module. The course really does fill the gaps from uni – of which there are plenty.

I couldn’t recommend it highly enough

Foundations of Clinical Exercise does a fantastic job at not only summarising but also intertwining key theoretical knowledge and practical, real world examples to form a complete picture around some really important physiotherapy and rehab concepts. I love how they summarise the clinical pearls from the available research and evidence to date and give clear scenarios of how the information can be applied with real clients. They then show an array of exercise and rehab modalities that could be used and the reasoning behind doing so. This really helped to cement the learning in my mind as it is clear, contextual and practical.

Overall I love the fact that I’m watching on and brainstorming ideas as to how what I’m watching can be used with patients the very next day. The information is not going over my head, and I leave feeling a lot more confident about how I will manage similar scenarios in my own practice. I’d highly recommend Foundations of Clinical Exercise to any new grad who wants to fast track their learning and develop a broader understanding of what they are seeing in the clinic.”
